John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s Tragic Loss

Their son’s cause of death listed as a seizure disorder

We were saddened to learn about the death of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s 16-year-old son, Jett, on January 2 in the Bahamas. Jett apparently suffered a seizure and collapsed in the bathroom of his family’s vacation home in the Bahamas. The autopsy report lists his cause of death as a seizure disorder. It is widely reported that Jett Travolta had a history of frequent seizures.

The Epilepsy Foundation sends its sincerest condolences to the Travolta family. We empathize with all parents of children with chronic disorders because we understand the inherent difficulties involved in safeguarding any child, especially one with special needs.

Based on the circumstances of the Travoltas’ tragedy, many parents in our community are asking, “What can I do to protect my child from a seizure-related accident?”

Do You Have a Story To Tell?

Has your prescription ever been changed from brand to generic or from generic to generic (different manufacturers) without your knowledge?

Has your medicine ever looked different when you picked it up? Did the pharmacist tell you that it was exactly the same as what you had received before?

If so, we would like to hear your story!

If answered YES to any of these questions, please contact us at 305-670-4949.
