Founded in 2008, by nine-year-old C***idy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada, Purple Day is an international gr*roots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26, people from around the globe are asked to wear purple and spread the word about epilepsy. I know November is Epilepsy Awareness month in the US (here in Australia, there's an Epilepsy Awareness Week in May) - but awareness = good, and can't see any fundamental problem with a second publicity hook. And IMHO, anything that combines raising awareness + purple... I DID choose my username for a reason :) -------------------------** From the land Downunder. Disability advocate come multimedia student. Too many seizures. * Purple Day for Epilepsy, March 26 - wear purple, raise awareness * Epilepsy explained - multimedia resource for teens... one day, I might be able to design something like that :)

Thanks for the heads up! ------------------------- Mom to Christopher (26), Keith (24) and Lindsey (21). Oh! And now I'm MIL to DIL, Rheannon. E came into our lives 8 years ago, as Chris began his senior year in high school. Currently on 1600mg tegretol XR and 300mg Lyrica. ~~ Forgive them all, let God sort it out. ~~
