"I want to people help people learn the different types of epilepsy so they'll know how to help."
- Isaac

Isaac is a positive, energetic child who takes pride in his school academics. His favorite subjects are reading and spelling. Having epilepsy motivates him to prove that he is just as smart as other children.

Before his diagnosis, Isaac's mother noticed he was not paying attention to his soccer coach during games and often kicked the ball in different directions while staring off into space. She thought he had a short attention span, but after an examination, the neurologist diagnosed Isaac with absence seizures, which are non-convulsive and can be harder to notice.

With medication, his seizures are mostly controlled, however he occasionally has seizures while sleeping. These are known as nocturnal seizures.

Isaac has educated his classmates and teachers about his condition. If he experiences a seizure during school, his classmates take him to the nurse so that he can lie down and recover.
