"Having epilepsy stinks, but having a great family, teachers and friends makes it easier to live with."
-- Erin

Erin is an articulate girl who adores animals and could spend her life eating only mashed potatoes and cornbread.

In search of the right medication to control her seizures, Erin experienced liver failure. Other treatments caused side effects such as memory loss and extreme fatigue.

Through it all, Erin has maintained her sunny disposition. She has even educated siblings about what to do just in case she experiences a seizure.

Erin is eager to participate in the Kids Speak Up! program to share her message of hope and convey the need for more money to increase services for people with epilepsy.
