Gabriella Guillen

Gabriella Guillen is a caring, compassionate and mature girl with epilepsy. For Gabriella, the fight to eliminate the stigma associated with epilepsy is not new. She was recently confronted with discrimination in her Los Angeles school. In such situations, Gabriella relies on the Epilepsy Foundation of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino & Ventura counties for support and guidance and has learned to advocate for herself and educate her peers about her illness.

Gabriella is eager to raise her voice in Washington, D.C., as an advocate in 2005 Kids Speak Up! program and expand people's understanding of what it means to have epilepsy. Gabriella's goal is to promote the image of a person with epilepsy as intelligent, caring and capable.
