For Jackson Newsome, the diagnosis of epilepsy at age 5 was extremely difficult for him and his family. He had recurring seizures for five years before he was diagnosed with epilepsy.

Jackson is eager to participate as an advocate in the 2005 Kids Speak Up! program and aspires to promote equal treatment for those with epilepsy.
