Herbert Rogers

Age: 10
Grade: 4
Milwaukee, Wis.

Herbert Rogers is bright and inquisitive. He was also  diagnosed with epilepsy at age 6. His mother, Etheleen, has been involved with the Epilepsy Foundation since the time of Herbert's diagnosis and has been active in bringing various educational resources to the community and spreading awareness about epilepsy.

Herbert works hard to manage his condition and not let it interfere with the things he enjoys. As an advocate for the 2005 Kids Speak Up! program, Herbert hopes to spread awareness of epilepsy as a common disorder with no cure as well as encourage his legislators to increase funding towards research and education.
