"I think that people who have seizures should be treated like everyone else."

Amanda Devine has a broad range of interests including helping other children with disabilities, painting and playing with animals. Because she has epilepsy, Amanda has been taunted and teased at school, which led her to arrange for a health educator to inform her classmates about seizure disorders.

The courageous, 13 year old has also shared her story to inspire other children with disabilities about their endless possibilities.

Amanda is eager to participate as an advocate in the 2006 Kids Speak Up! program to shed light on the difficulties that people with epilepsy experience.
