KSU Participant Sean Malloy "I would like people with seizures to be treated like everyone else. We just happen to have epilepsy."

Sean is a fun-loving 10 year old who is eager to participate as an advocate in the 2006 Kids Speak Up! program. He wants his peers to understand how difficult it is to have epilepsy and live with the effects of a seizure disorder.

Despite many attempts to gain control of his condition, Sean has never been seizure-free for longer than four months. Today, he adheres to a strict fluid restriction diet, which consists of limited "free water" due to the potentially dangerous side-effects caused by his anti-convulsant medication. While challenging, Sean remains positive and accepts the restrictions as a way of life.
