Cameron Hunt is an enthusiastic young man with a passion for sports and chess. He is also a determined individual, standing up against those who try to discriminate against him for his epilepsy and hearing impairment. These dual problems have made others not always act compassionately toward him, so his mother wants to ensure he becomes the best possible adult, to exemplify how society ought to treat those who are different.

But Cameron, who is already teaching his younger brother how to play chess, is already on his way.

He and his family have become active members of their local Epilepsy Foundation, volunteering to help end the stigma associated with epilepsy and increase epilepsy awareness.

“I’d like people to know how the medicine for epilepsy works so if they see something wrong they can help,” Cameron said.
