Jacy Lee RileyAge: 10
Now she’s just like other kids her age, but she has absence and generalized seizures. Also, since her diagnosis, she and her family dove right into learning all they could, and doing all they can, to help her and others like her. They’ve decided that being active participants in her treatment plan is the best way to ensure the best possible care. Of course, all of this has made them even more concerned about all the other people who have epilepsy. It’s also brought them closer together, and more conscious as to how things affect them and Jacy. “My having epilepsy is kind of hard on my family,” Jacy said. “I hope one day someone finds a cure so that others do not have to have it.” |
