An Epilepsy Foundation survey showed teens' lack of understanding about epilepsy—seizure disorders—and the stigma that can result. Since then, the Foundation has conducted an annual campaign called Entitled to Respect, which seeks to raise awareness about epilepsy among youth ages 10 to 18, reduce the stigma associated with the disorder and encourage respect for young people with epilepsy.

The Entitled to Respect campaign encourages youth to express what they think "respect" is all about.

For more information about this campaign, please contact Mary Ann Maurey, Production Assistant for the Epilepsy Foundation.
