Faith-Based Organizations

The pillars of many communities are their churches. In addition to being places of worship, churches often unite neighbors and meet the social needs of those in the community.

A basic need in many communities is education about health and wellness. The Epilepsy Foundation has partnered with local churches and physicians to present information about epilepsy to interested congregations. If your church participates, the end of one of your worship services may include a presentation from local Epilepsy Foundation staff, information from a doctor and personal testimony from someone living with epilepsy.

Two and a half million people in the United States have epilepsy. There is probably someone in your congregation who lives with a seizure disorder. Perhaps it is you or a member of your family.
