"Being an intern at the Foundation was a great experience. I saw how hard everyone there works to support families just like mine. Every day I felt like I was doing something that would ultimately help another family affected by epilepsy."--Shelly W.
Research, advocacy, and awareness are the core of the Epilepsy Foundation. We concentrate on these three tenets to improve the lives of people living with epilepsy. But we cannot do this work alone. We need the assistance of volunteers like you to make the world a better, easier, more manageable place for people with epilepsy.
We are currently looking for volunteers to work in our national office in Landover, Maryland. Whether you are a student looking for an internship, a professional with only one day off to volunteer, or you are just looking for a way to make a difference—we need you! We need help from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information, please contact Cinda Showalter at cshowalter@efa.org.
Throughout the year we will need volunteers to help with various events such as the National Walk for Epilepsy and the Distinguished Achievement Awards Gala. Closer to those events, we will post updated information on how you can join us as a volunteer. In addition, please contact your local affiliate to see how you can volunteer to help them.
