Mt. Everest Base Camp Project

Scott Moody, a member of the Epilepsy Foundation Kentuckiana's Board of Directors, along with six team members, including videographer, David Kiern, began an incredible 18-day trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp on October 4th.
The team chose to promote and support the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana during this once in a lifetime journey and experience. The videographer's goal during his filming of the 18-day trek is to incorporate the team's journey with the daily journey of Alex Harpole, an eight-year old who has a severe form of epilepsy called Dravet's Syndrome. David's filmmaking experience will result in the creation of three short films/documentaries - one of the team's Everest Base Camp journey, one of Alex and his daily journey with epilepsy, and the final film integrating both Alex's and the team's journey in order to raise epilepsy awareness and funding.

2008 Walk Around Kentucky
The Epilepsy Foundation Kentuckiana thanks each and every one of you who helped to make this year's Walk Around Kentucky EpilepsyWALK a huge success! Because of you and your support, we raised almost $90,000 across Kentucky! This equates to $1 for each child and adult living with epilepsy in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Epilepsy services are critical to providing help and hope to those impacted by seizures. On their behalf, we salute you!
