"Mom, it was great! There were horses and swimming and campfires and singing!"

This year, 40 children, ages 6-18, attended Camp Blackhawk at the Easter Seals Timber Pointe Outdoor Center located in Hudson, Illinois. For a full week, kids were treated to the outdoor experience of a lifetime.

With an average of 2 children per counselor, and medical staff on-site, there is always a helping hand when needed at Camp Blackhawk. Counselors are specially trained to handle the needs of children with epilepsy. Activities include:

      
Crafts               
Swimming
Archery     
Talent shows
Music                         
Horseback riding
Fishing             
Dancing

"Camperships" are available for those with financial need. For those wishing to volunteer, counselors are always in demand at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, which hosts a variety of children's camps.
