Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago has been helping people with epilepsy for over 50 years! Though our responsibilities have changed over time to address shifting needs in our community, we have and will always retain our core service programs in order to ensure that people with epilepsy are able to reach their full potential in an open and accepting environment, including:

When you believe your rights have been abridged, at work, school, or in the community.
Chicago Support Groups For Adults
For adults with epilepsy to meet with others who live with epilepsy -- to learn, support, and become strengthened by each other's experiences and strategies.
Chicago Support Groups For Parents
For parents of children with epilepsy to meet with others who live with epilepsy -- to learn, support, and become strengthened by each other's experiences and strategies.
Chicago Support Groups For Teens
For teens with epilepsy to meet with others who live with epilepsy -- to learn, support, and become strengthened by each other's experiences and strategies.
Educational Services
For those with and without epilepsy who want to learn more. We serve individuals and groups both small and large. The Foundation is able to travel to your home or business, if you are unable to come to us.

Individual and Family Services
For general advice, medical information, case management, social work counseling, or just help teaching those around you to understand your condition, we have Masters level professionals available for visits in our office, at your business or home. English and Spanish speakers available.

Monthly Activities Calendar
In addition to support groups (who often schedule their own activities), and major events, the Foundation sponsors several weekly and monthly activities on a regular basis.

Scholarships
Need help paying for school? We may be able to help. The Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships every June for post-secondary education or training.
