Thanks to everyone (participants, sponsors, team captains, donors, volunteers) for a tremendous run/walk this year. Over 900 people took part in the event helping us raise close to $45,000.00 for our programs serving people with epilepsy. Because of your support, we can make sure that “not another moment is lost to seizures”. This year we had 37 individuals set up and start a team and gather support from family friends and co-workers. This enabled our teams to raise almost $29,000! What was equally important was the spirit of teamwork and enthusiasm that was evident at the event. Together we were all working together on behalf of people with seizures! We would like to thank in a special way the following companies who donated money to the event. These include: National City Bank, D & L Leasing, The Matrix Companies, Focus on Success, Health Care Services, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Oxford Therapy Centers, USI Midwest and Evers Construction. Our appreciation also goes out to the Newport on the Levee for once again allowing us to host this event at their venue. They are wonderful to work with and provide us with many support services. Additionally we would like to thank Dewey’s Pizza in the Levee for hosting our Pre-Event Captain’s Party. This year we were able to offer a variety of products in our “goodie bags” and a host of door prizes. Thanks, once again, to Avon for donating sample products. Thanks also to Marx’s Hot Bagels, Sam’s Club, Bigg’s and Chiquita for donating food and drinks for after the event and to Erickson Academy of Irish Dance for their beautiful display of dance. Finally, we would like to thank Fleet Feet Sports for working with our agency for the past 8 years in hosting this event. They promote the event beforehand, provide us with supplies and door prizes and draw the running community to the event.
