Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, Inc.

Here's all of the dirt!

June 23rd marked the 17th Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament hosted by the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. Although the site location changed to the Red Barn Flea Market in Batavia this year, many of the muddy faces that have competed year after year remained the same. Also new this year were two live bands. Leading off was Never Enuff (www.neverenuffmusic.com) who entertained the crowd with favorite tunes from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Then Endive (www.endivemusic.com) took the stage as tournament play progressed throughout the afternoon.

The weather cooperated flawlessly as play got underway. By noon, the mud was flying and the courts quickly grew sticky, swampy and just down right mucky; which made for a lot of fun for the kids (of all ages!). At the end of the day, “Stars and Stripes” was the last team standing and crowned champs for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Jim Garner, Tim Hawes, Barry Hughes, Eric Hughes, Lori Keller, Brandon Stone, Jared Stone, and Clare Woods! “Goodfellas” were the runner-ups for the second straight year.

A sincere thank you to all our players, volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible. A total of $17,000 was raised to support the work of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati.
