We will discuss foundations for ethical decision making and a model to make this process a bit clearer. Our focus will be on the professional relationship, client self-determination and value conflicts that can arise. We will examine several case studies, share experiences and find ways to avoid ethical pitfalls. Professionals will leave this seminar with a better understanding of the process of ethical decision making. About The Speaker: Dana Moran Dana received her Bachelors of Social Work and her Masters of Social Work from The University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Dana is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio and a Certified Social Worker in Kentucky. She is currently the Director of Social Work and Pastoral Care for St. Luke Hospitals. Dana has presented numerous professional seminars on a variety of educational topics. Objectives: By attending this seminar, participants will be able to: 1. Develop an understanding of the foundations for ethical decision making; 2. Define the professional relationship and discuss limits, problems and dilemmas; 3. Develop a further understanding of client self determination; 4. Define and differentiate between personal, societal and professional values; 5.
