H.O.P.E.

"Helping Other People with Epilepsy."  Sponsored and supported by UCBPharma. An epilepsy educational program  that trains people living with epilepsy and parents of children with epilepsy to become H.O.P.E. Mentors and to give professional presentations about epilepsy to a variety of audiences.  The hallmark of this program is that the presentors share their experiences with epilepsy to the audience. 

H.O.P.E. Presentations*:

  • Present facts about epilepsy to the community and to other people with epilepsy who search for a better understanding of the condition.
  • Offer shared personal experience that others can relate to and from which the can gain strengh.
  • Are a valuable resource for the epilepsy patient, family and healthcare professional.

H.O.P.E. presentations may be tailored to different audeinces, including*:

  • Support groups, schools, churches, civic organizations, corporations, or any other interested community group.
  • People with epilepsy who are newly diagnosed.
  • Family members and loved ones.
  • Healthcare professionals.
