Volunteering Opportunities
Do your part to help in the fight against stigma! We invite you to take an active role in promoting Epilepsy awareness. Many of our activities, events and programs would not be possible without the assistance of volunteers like you. Volunteers are very important to the daily function of the Foundation. Volunteering can be a rich, rewarding experience.
The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas offers numerous opportunities for volunteers on a short term or long term basis - whatever fits your schedule!
Our volunteers are expected to follow all policies and expectations set forth by the Foundation Board of Directors. In accordance with policy, the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas will conduct background checks on all volunteers working with children. All volunteers will be provided with the necessary training to do their jobs.

- H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People With Epilepsy)
The H.O.P.E. Mentoring Program was created to enable people who live with epilepsy to educate others and share their experiences. This educational program trains people with epilepsy to be "patient educators" throughout the epilepsy and neurology communities.
We are recruiting volunteers with public speaking and/or teaching experience who have personal experience with epilepsy to speak to service clubs, schools or businesses.
Training and curriculum materials provided. Speakers scheduled according to need/demand. Find out more about the H.O.P.E. Mentoring Program.
