Sara's 4th Annual Walk and 5K Sprint for Epilepsy

Sara-Elizabeth held her 4th Annual Walk and 5K Sprint for Epilepsy on Saturday, May 2nd, at the SUNY New Paltz Campus.  The day threatened rain, but the sun shone brightly and it was a beautiful day for a walk and run!

Approximately 75 people participated, including EFNENY Board President Gene Nachamkin, EFNENY Board Vice President Rusty Senecal, and National Board President Steve Sabatini. 

Over $9,000 was raised, and money is still coming in!  It's not too late to donate to Sara's Walk - just send a check made payable to EFNENY, note "Sara's Walk" in the memo section, and mail to EFNENY at 3 Washington Square, Albany NY 12205.  Proceeds from this event will go directly to help support the programs and services provided by the new satellite office, located in Highland, NY.

Music was provided by MIX 97.7, popcorn and cotton candy was on hand, great raffle prizes, and information on epilepsy was available.  Prizes were awarded to the top 5K runners, and event t-shirts were given out.  A fun time was had by all!
