Palm Beach Walk

The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida – Palm Beach Chapter’s  FIRST ANNUAL WALK AND PICNIC  to mark November, Epilepsy Month was more successful  than  the  Walk Committee including the Teen Adventures Club their parents could have hoped for. The Foundation raised over $19,000 through sponsorships, pledges and raffles in support of local services.

Board President Patricia Dean, M.S., ARNP danced the afternoon away with the teens, clients and families and other supporters.   Ms. Dean spoke to the group and stressed the importance of better community understanding and more support for those who live with epilepsy.  Children, teens and adults with epilepsy along with their supporters enjoyed breakfast for walkers, a scenic walk in the park followed by a picnic, ice cream, rock wall, obstacle course, bounce house, face painting, music and raffle prizes. Guest appearances by Ronald McDonald and Lion Country’s Rory the Lion delighted children and adults.
