Programs

There are 2.5 million Americans who have epilepsy/seizure disorders in the United States. People with epilepsy/seizure disorders face many challenges at work, school, with family, and with friends.

The stigma and misunderstandings surrounding epilepsy/seizure disorders makes it difficult for people who have this disorder to live and work in the community without fear. This fear of not knowing how they will be treated if a seizure should occur while on the bus, at work, or while shopping can cause a person to feel very isolated.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri provides a variety of services to assist people with epilepsy/seizure disorders to better understand this disorder and to live successful lives in their community.
