Managing Students with Seizures"Managing Students with Seizures" is a 3.5 hour training specifically designed for school nurses. Some of the topics to be covered include: The impact of seizures on learning and behavior. Current treatment options and their side effects. Simple strategies for creating a more positive and supportive environment. We have held three school nurse trainings in 2007. These included a training for the Independence, Missouri, school district, a post session offering at the Kansas School Nurse Conference in Wichita and a general session held in early August at Children's Mercy Hospital.
