Camp DiscoveryCamp Discovery is an overnight camp for children with epilepsy and their siblings between the ages of 7-17.
The program provides children with seizures the opportunity to experience the fun of camp activities in a safe, medically-supervised setting. Just some of the activities that campers take part in, include: kayaking, swimming, arts and crafts, and many more.
All camp staff members are well informed about epilepsy. This includes: · 2 directors, · 2 RNs, and a · 2 to 1 camper to volunteer counselor ratio. · Children who need 1 to 1 assistance must bring a full-time attendant.

FEE INFORMATION Camp Discovery is open to children with epilepsy and their siblings. Children attending camp are not charged a fee to attend, however donations are accepted to help underwrite the costs associated with presenting Camp Discovery. The average cost per child is $450. There are 75 available camp slots to fill for the 2008 program. Children from Oregon and Washington are invited to apply beginning May 1, 2008.
