Epilepsy and Employment: Employer Awareness Training

The purpose of the training is to increase the awareness and education of
employers about epilepsy and employment related issues.  The objectives are:

• To reduce the stigma and misperceptions about epilepsy in the workplace
• To minimize the level of fear in employing someone with seizure disorder
• To promote the employment and retention of persons living with epilepsy

This training can be completed in a half-day period.

• Local employers
• State & Federal Agencies
• Presidents & Human Resource Personnel
• Management Personnel
• Persons with Epilepsy

• Accommodations for people with epilepsy
• Employer fears about people with epilepsy
• Working effectively with people with epilepsy
• Americans with Disabilities Act: Epilepsy
• Seizure recognition and first aid
