Managing Students with Seizures: A Training for School Nurses

Provides information, strategies and resources that will enable school nurses to more effectively manage students with seizures by:

• Supporting positive treatment outcomes
• Maximizing educational and developmental opportunities
• Creating a safe and supportive school environment.

• Recognizing seizures and their impact
• Current treatment options
• Seizure first aid
• Seizure action plans
• Training teachers and other school personnel
