The Epilepsy Foundation is a not-for-profit human service agency addressing the needs of area residents and their families affected by epilepsy, seizure disorder,and related disabilities including traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke, and developmental disability.The agency serves individuals and families without regard to race, color, sex, age, or national origin.

Our Mission:The Epilepsy Foundation of Rochester-Syracuse-Binghamton will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through services, education,advocacy and research.

Spring 2008 Newsletter Now Available

Register for Camp EAGR today!

Camp EAGR is a week-long residential summer camp for boys and girls, ages 8 to 15 who have epilepsy, regardless of seizure control.  This year camp runs from August 17th through the 23rd.  Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Visit our Camp page for more details.

Rochester Community Picnic -- August 27th

Don't miss this year's Rochester Community Picnic!  The Picnic will be on August 27th at the Brighton Town Park from 5 to 7 pm.  More details to follow.

2008 Expressions of Courage Art Contest

Now in its sixth year, the Expressions of Courage® national art contest, sponsored by ORTHO-McNEIL NEUROLOGICS®, Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc, in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation, provides people with epilepsy the opportunity to showcase their talents and their perspectives of the world around them through art and share their experiences with others. 

The Epilepsy Foundation encourages people of all ages diagnosed with epilepsy to submit artwork for this year’s contest.  The contest is open through July 16, 2008.  To learn more about Expressions of Courage, the traveling exhibition and to download Expressions of Courage entry forms, please visit www.expressionsofcourage.com.
