There are many volunteer opportunities available at the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas. Please fax (713-789-5628) or mail the Volunteer Application to the address below.

Transportation is not provided. Volunteers are required to provide their own transportation.

 
  • Advocacy
    Be available to write letters, e-mail and make phone calls when necessary to local, state and national representatives regarding epilepsy issues.
 
 
  • Community Education
    Puppeteers needed for "Kids on the Block" education program for elementary school age children and presenters for "Because You Are My Friend" education program for grades pre-K and K. Must be available during school hours. Training required. 
 
  • Employment Assistance Program
    Business professionals available on occasion for basic computer training or to speak to clients about employment search and interviewing tips. Must be available during business hours Monday-Friday.
 
  • H.O.P.E Mentoring Program
    People living with epilepsy or family members willing to share their personal experience with epilepsy can become mentors. Mentors complete an Epilepsy Foundation certified training program developed by leaders in the field. H.O.P.E. presentations consist of presenting facts about epilepsy to the community and to other people with epilepsy who search for a better understanding of the condition.
 
  • Office Help
    Assembling information packets, labeling brochures, making copies, etc. Must be available during business hours, Monday - Friday.
