Camp RiverRun 2008
Camp RiverRun is a week-long residential camp for children, ages 7-14, who have epilepsy. Campers enjoy an exciting summer experience, gain new friends and share thoughts and feelings with each other.
Scholarships are provided to all campers with epilepsy through generous grants from community organizations and from sponsorships.
Camp RiverRun provides a traditional camp experience with the trained counselors and medical personnel.
Epilepsy is a condition that must be assessed individually, and as such is difficult to generalize. In most cases, however, the child with epilepsy has (in the opinion of parents/guardian and his/her physician) sufficient seizure control to benefit from regular camping activities & should be able to do so without special limitations. These activities include swimming, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, archery, crafts, sports and lots of fun.
