GOLF TOURNAMENT TO CELEBRATE MOTHER
The golf tournament takes place on May 11 at 9 A.M. at Meadow creek. For more info call Dennis Engle at 989-0773. Mr. Engle of Charlottesville is organizing a golf tournament to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia. Mr. Engle is very familiar with epilepsy. His mother, Margaret Vogel from Ruckersville, VA was diagnosed with the disorder almost twenty years ago. She took many different anti epileptic medications. They could not stop the seizures and caused side effects such as drowsiness. Thanks to new diagnostic techniques, the University of Virginia located the scar tissue in Mrs. Vogel's brain and Dr. Elias from UVA was able to remove the scar tissue. Mrs. Engle has been seizure free for over two years. I am celebrating the improvements the surgery made on my mother's quality of live: says Mr. Engle. Mrs. Vogel has done remarkably well after her surgery, says Dr. Elias, Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurological Surgery. .
