Director's CornerDear Web Page Visitors: Epilepsy is often called the poets' affliction. Many writers and composers had epilepsy. Dostojevski, Lewis Carroll, Flaubert, Gide, Dostoevski, Handel, Mendelssohn, Paganini and Tchaikovsky are just a few examples. But persons with epilepsy also face problems. That is why the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia Board in June 2001, accepted a strategic plan based on the following principles:
