Biographical Information:

Suzanne C. Bischoff, Ph. D., was trained and worked as a development worker in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Once she concluded that development aid was not the best way to empower people, she decided to make a carreer switch and became Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia.

She feels constantly inspired by the request of "the afflicted poets" which is a common expression for those with epilepsy. She says she does not decide what the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia does, as the organization is completely consumer-driven.
