NFL Player Suffers a Seizure

Allentown, PA-- Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson, 28, suffered a seizure today during training camp. According to the Eagles website, Patterson is in stable condition. Head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said there is nothing in Patterson's medical history to indicate that he is predisposed to having seizures.
Patterson reportedly fell to the ground had had a 4-5 minute seizure that shook up his teammates and fans. An ER doctor, Burkholder and an assistant trainer all helped stabilize Patterson before paramedics arrived.
Patterson is at Lehigh Valley Hospital where he will undergo tests to determine what caused his seizure.
